LED Headlight & Fog Light Bulbs for Cars and Trucks

Replacing factory halogen bulbs with the correct LED headlight or fog light bulb can improve nighttime visibility, provide a cleaner white light and modernize the appearance of your vehicle. The key is choosing the correct bulb size, LED series and vehicle-specific fitment rather than simply choosing the brightest bulb available.

FUZED LED offers headlight and fog light upgrades for many common automotive bulb families, including H11/H8/H9, 9005/HB3, 9145/H10, 9006/HB4, H13/9008, H4/9003, H7, H1, H3, 9012, 5202/2504 and 880, along with HID-to-LED conversion options for compatible D-Series applications.

F1 Series vs. F1 Plus LED Headlight Bulbs

Different vehicles and headlight housings benefit from different LED bulb designs. That's why FUZED LED offers multiple performance levels rather than treating every vehicle as the same application.

Series Output Per Set Best For
F1 Mini 4,000 Lumens Applications where compact dimensions and factory-like bulb size are the priority
F1 Series 7,000 Lumens Balanced output, compact fitment and everyday headlight or fog light upgrades
F1 Plus 12,000 Lumens Higher-output applications where additional usable light is desired and fitment allows

More lumens do not automatically mean a better headlight. Bulb positioning, headlight housing design, available space and beam pattern are all important when selecting the right LED upgrade.

LED Headlight Beam Pattern & Bulb Orientation

A properly installed LED bulb should place its LED emitters in the correct orientation inside the headlight housing. For many of our LED headlight applications, the LED chips should face horizontally to the left and right rather than vertically.

This helps position the LED light source in relation to the original halogen filament location and can improve the usable beam pattern produced by a compatible headlight housing.

After installation, always check the headlight beam pattern and aim before driving at night.

Headlight Bulb Size Does Not Guarantee Vehicle Compatibility

Matching the bulb number is only part of choosing the correct LED upgrade. Two vehicles may use the same basic bulb size while having different electrical systems, headlight housings, dust-cover clearance or CANbus requirements.

For example, a vehicle may require an additional CANbus decoder to prevent flickering or warning messages, while another vehicle using the same bulb family may not require one.

Always verify the exact Year, Make, Model and factory headlight configuration before ordering.

Halogen vs. Factory HID vs. Factory LED Headlights

Before ordering replacement LED bulbs, determine which type of headlight system came factory-equipped on your vehicle.

Factory Halogen Headlights

Many halogen headlight assemblies use replaceable bulbs such as H11, 9005, 9006, H13, H7 or similar bulb families. These are the most common applications for conventional LED replacement bulbs.

Factory HID Headlights

Factory HID systems may use D-Series bulbs and an HID ballast. Compatible applications may require a dedicated HID-to-LED conversion solution rather than a conventional halogen-replacement LED bulb.

Factory LED Headlights

Many newer vehicles use integrated factory LED headlight assemblies without a conventional replaceable headlight bulb. If your vehicle has an integrated factory LED assembly, a standard H11, 9005 or similar LED replacement bulb will not replace the factory LED light source.

LED Headlight & Fog Light FAQ

How do I know which LED headlight bulb fits my vehicle?

Start by searching your exact Year, Make and Model with the FUZED LED vehicle finder. Also verify whether your vehicle has factory halogen, HID or LED headlights, because different factory configurations can use completely different lighting systems.

Do LED headlights need CANbus decoders?

Some vehicles do and some do not. CANbus requirements are vehicle-specific and should not be determined by bulb size alone. A decoder may be required in certain applications to address flickering, bulb-out warnings or other electrical behavior.

Can the same LED bulb be used for headlights and fog lights?

Some bulb families are used in both headlight and fog light applications, but compatibility depends on the vehicle and lighting position. Verify the bulb size for the exact position you are replacing.

Should LED headlight chips face up and down or left and right?

For many FUZED LED headlight applications, the LED emitters should face horizontally to the left and right. Follow the installation instructions for your specific bulb and verify the resulting beam pattern after installation.

Are LED headlight bulbs universal?

No. Automotive LED headlight bulbs are not universal. Bulb size, factory headlight type, physical clearance, electrical compatibility and vehicle-specific requirements all need to be considered before ordering.

Find the Right FUZED LED Upgrade for Your Vehicle

The best LED upgrade starts with the correct fitment. Search by Year, Make and Model to find compatible FUZED LED headlight and fog light options for your vehicle, or shop by bulb size if you already know the factory bulb number.
