Which Fuzed LED Series Is Best for My Ram?
Fuzed LED offers three headlight-bulb series for different output and fitment priorities. The best choice depends on your Ram's factory headlight configuration, available housing clearance and the application-specific fitment listed in this guide.
| Series | Output Per Set | Best For | Learn More |
|---|---|---|---|
| F1 Mini | 4,000 Lumens | Tight housings and applications where compact dimensions and maximum installation clearance are the priority. | View F1 Mini → |
| F1 Series | 7,000 Lumens | Balanced output, compact fitment and everyday headlight or fog-light upgrades. | View F1 Series → |
| F1 Plus | 12,000 Lumens | Maximum-output applications where the specific Ram housing and application provide sufficient clearance. | View F1 Plus → |
Ram fitment note: Do not choose a series by lumen output alone. Use the application-specific product links above and verify your truck's headlight configuration first. Some Ram positions have tighter dust-cap clearance than others.
Ram LED Headlight Upgrade
A good LED upgrade needs more than a high advertised lumen number. It should provide correct fitment, proper emitter orientation, thermal management, a controlled beam pattern, sufficient housing clearance and reliable electrical operation.
Ram-specific Fuzed LED kits are selected around the actual headlight configuration, including compact solutions where factory dust-cap clearance is limited.
LED Output & Brightness

How Bright Are Fuzed LED Headlight Bulbs?
What matters is usable light. A bulb can advertise a high lumen number and still produce a poor beam pattern.
For a Ram LED upgrade, evaluate output, beam pattern, cutoff, hotspot and foreground illumination together.
Ram LED Headlight Beam Pattern
Fuzed LED testing focuses on increasing usable brightness while maintaining the controlled beam pattern and cutoff the headlight housing is designed to produce.

How to Install LED Headlight Bulbs on a 2009–2024 Classic Ram
For the 4th Gen configurations covered here, start by removing the grille and headlight housings to access the bulbs.
Step 1 — Open Hood and Remove Upper Dust Shield
Remove the retaining clips on the upper dust shield covering the top of the grille, then remove the shield.
Step 2 — Remove Grille
Remove the four 10 mm bolts along the top of the grille. Note that the two outer bolts use different threads than the two center bolts.
Step 3 — Remove Headlight Bolts
Remove the two 10 mm mounting bolts for each headlight: one at the upper portion and one at the lower portion behind the grille mounting area.
Step 4 — Unlock Headlight Housing
Open the access door in the inner fender-well area in front of the wheel. Reach behind the headlight assembly and push the headlight locking clip upward to release the housing.
Step 5 — Gently Pull the Headlight Out
Pull the assembly forward carefully so you can access the rear of the housing.
Step 6 — Access the Bulbs
Factory Projector Headlights
Remove the five 8 mm bolts securing the rear dust cover to access the high- and low-beam bulbs.
Quad Reflector Headlights
There are separate rubber dust covers for the low and high beams. Pull them off to access each bulb.
Dual Reflector Headlights
After removing the headlight assembly, the H13/9008 bulb is accessible without a rear dust cover.

Note: The video shows an older Mini Series bulb. Current Ram-specific Fuzed LED options may differ, so use the application-specific links in this guide.
Ram LED Headlight Fitment & Clearance
One of the most important parts of upgrading a 4th Gen Ram to LED headlights is making sure the bulb, wiring and cooling system fit correctly inside the factory headlight housing.
The photos below show actual Fuzed LED fitment inside a 2013–2018 Ram projector headlight assembly. They provide a closer look at bulb positioning, rear-housing clearance, high-beam installation and factory dust-cover clearance.
FITMENT & CLEARANCE
Quad-reflector high beams: Rear clearance is limited. Use the compact 9005 high-beam solution →
Projector headlights: Use the application-specific projector kit shown for your model year.
Dual-reflector headlights: Use the H13/9008 application-specific kit.
Never force an LED bulb into a headlight housing. Make sure wiring is positioned safely and confirm that the factory dust cover closes completely before reinstalling the headlight assembly.
F1 Plus LED Fitment in a Ram Projector Headlight
This photo shows a Fuzed LED F1 Plus bulb installed inside a 2013–2018 Ram projector headlight housing. Proper positioning of the bulb and wiring helps maintain clearance around the cooling system and rear housing.
F1 Plus Factory Dust-Cover Clearance
After the LED bulb and wiring are positioned correctly inside the projector housing, verify that the factory rear dust cover can be reinstalled without pressing against the bulb's cooling system or wiring.
Installation tip: Before reinstalling the headlight assembly, check that the wiring is clear of the cooling fan and that the dust cover seats completely around the housing.
F1 Plus Projector High-Beam Fitment
The projector housing also needs sufficient clearance around the high-beam bulb. This photo shows the F1 Plus installed in the high-beam position of the Ram projector headlight assembly.
Standard Fuzed LED Projector Headlight Fitment
Fuzed LED projector applications are selected around the available space inside the factory housing. The photo below shows another Fuzed LED installation inside the 2013–2018 Ram projector headlight.
Factory Dust Cover Installed Over Fuzed LED Bulb
Proper LED fitment is not complete until the rear of the housing can be closed correctly. This photo shows the factory Ram projector headlight dust cover fitted after the Fuzed LED installation.
Ram Projector High-Beam LED Fitment
This view shows the Fuzed LED high-beam installation inside the Ram projector housing. Check the bulb, wiring and cooling system for adequate clearance before reinstalling the rear cover and headlight assembly.
Why Headlight Housing Clearance Matters
An LED bulb should never be forced into the housing. Adequate clearance helps protect the bulb's cooling system, prevents wiring from contacting moving cooling components and allows the factory dust cover to seal correctly.
For Ram trucks, this is also why Fuzed uses application-specific LED solutions rather than recommending a bulb based only on the bulb number. Projector, quad-reflector and dual-reflector housings can have very different amounts of available space even when similar bulb families are used.
If you're unsure which configuration your truck has, identify the factory headlight style first and use the application-specific links in this guide.
Ram LED Headlight Flickering & CANBUS Issues
When upgrading the 4th Gen Ram applications covered by this guide, CANBUS decoders may be required to prevent flickering or bulb-out warnings. Fuzed's Ram-specific kits are designed around the applicable electrical requirements.
How to Install CANBUS Decoders
Connect the decoder to the truck's factory harness, then connect the LED bulb to the decoder. Secure the decoder inside the available housing space before reinstalling the dust cover.
