Factory Halogen vs Factory LED Headlights
The 2021–2023 Ford F-150 was available with different factory lighting configurations. Before ordering replacement headlight bulbs, determine whether your truck is equipped with factory halogen or factory LED headlights.
Factory Halogen Headlights
Factory halogen-equipped trucks use:
- Low Beam: H11
- High Beam: 9005/HB3
Both positions can be upgraded with compatible FUZED LED bulbs.
Factory LED Headlights
Factory LED-equipped F-150 trucks use integrated LED headlight assemblies instead of conventional replaceable H11 and 9005 halogen bulbs.

The 2021–2023 F-150 also provides enough room inside the factory headlight housing for the FUZED LED F1 Series to fit without requiring an extended low-beam dust cover.

Side Marker — W5W / T10
The replaceable side-marker application uses a W5W/T10-family bulb. Some factory lighting configurations may use integrated LEDs, so inspect your truck's factory lighting configuration before ordering a replacement.
FUZED LED F1 Series Fits Behind the Factory Dust Cover
Unlike the earlier 2015–2020 F-150 halogen headlight design, the 2021–2023 F-150 provides plenty of room inside the headlight housing for the FUZED LED F1 Series.
No extended low-beam dust cover is required. After the compatible LED bulb is properly installed, the original factory dust cover can be reinstalled over the bulb.

Cargo Light & Third Brake Light Bulb Sizes
The cargo and third-brake-light configuration can vary depending on how the truck was factory equipped.
Replaceable-Bulb Configuration — 921 / T15
Trucks equipped with conventional replaceable bulbs use 921/T15 bulbs in the applicable cargo and third-brake-light positions.
For these trucks, FUZED LED offers a white 921 LED upgrade for the cargo-light position and a red 921 LED upgrade for the third brake light.
Factory LED Configuration
Some 2021–2023 F-150 trucks are equipped with factory integrated LED cargo and/or third brake lighting. These configurations do not use conventional replaceable 921 bulbs.

Headlight Installation & CANbus Information
Headlight-bulb access is through the inner fender-well area, similar to the 2018–2020 F-150.
Turn the front wheel to provide additional working room, remove the necessary inner fender-liner fasteners, and carefully pull the liner back enough to access the rear of the headlight housing.
After installing the LED bulb, confirm that it is fully seated and locked into position. The 2021–2023 headlight housing provides enough room for the compatible FUZED LED F1 Series, allowing the factory dust cover to be reinstalled normally.
No CANbus decoder or additional resistor is required when using the compatible FUZED LED H11, 9005/HB3, and 9145/H10 bulbs in the applications covered by this guide.

LED Light Output & Headlight Beam Pattern
A proper LED headlight upgrade is about more than maximum lumen output. The LED light source must also be positioned correctly inside the factory headlight so the reflector can properly control and direct the light.
When installing compatible FUZED LED H11 low-beam or 9005/HB3 high-beam bulbs, the LED chips should face horizontally from side to side.
Viewed from behind the installed bulb, the LED chips should sit at approximately the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions.
After installation, confirm that each bulb is fully seated and check the headlight beam pattern and aim before nighttime driving.
