Before purchasing LED replacement bulbs, identify which factory headlight assembly your Frontier has. These trucks were offered with different headlight configurations, and not every model uses a replaceable 9007 halogen bulb.
The 9007/HB5 bulb information and F1 Series installation in this guide apply to factory halogen-equipped Nissan Frontier trucks. If your Frontier has the factory LED headlight assembly, it does not use the same replaceable 9007 headlight bulb.

2022–2025 Nissan Frontier 9007/HB5 LED Headlight Upgrade
Nissan Frontier trucks equipped with the factory halogen headlight configuration covered here use a 9007 dual-beam bulb, also known as HB5. Unlike vehicles that have separate low-beam and high-beam bulbs, the Frontier uses one 9007 bulb on each side for both functions.
Each 9007 bulb has both low-beam and high-beam functionality. This means there are only two replaceable headlight bulbs total, and you do not need to purchase separate low-beam and high-beam LED sets.

Our F1 Series 9007 LED bulbs are designed as a replacement for the factory halogen application, with the LED emitters positioned to work within the original headlight assembly. As with any headlight upgrade, final bulb alignment and beam pattern should be checked after installation.

We tested the factory Nissan Frontier halogen headlight output and compared it with our F1 Series 9007 LED bulbs using a lux meter. This allows us to evaluate the actual light reaching a measurement point rather than relying solely on advertised lumen specifications.

Measuring light output is useful, but seeing how the headlights illuminate the road is also important. After installing the F1 Series LEDs, we drove the Frontier on a dark road to demonstrate the low-beam output in real-world nighttime conditions.

Road visibility depends on the headlight aim, beam distribution and driving conditions. After installation, confirm that the low beams are correctly aimed and do not produce excessive glare for oncoming drivers.

2022–2025 Nissan Frontier LED Headlight Bulb Installation
The 9007 halogen headlight bulbs are accessed from behind the factory headlight assemblies. You do not need separate bulbs for low and high beams because each 9007 bulb performs both functions.

View Step-by-Step Nissan Frontier LED Headlight Installation
1. Locate and Disconnect the Factory Headlight Bulb
Turn the headlights off, allow the original bulbs to cool, and open the hood. Locate the rear of the halogen headlight assembly and identify the 9007 bulb connection. Release the connector locking tab and carefully disconnect the factory wiring from the halogen bulb. Pull on the connector rather than the wires.
2. Remove the Bulb Retainer Ring
Spin the bulb retainer ring counter clockwise to remove it.
3. Remove the Original 9007 Halogen Bulb
Now that the retainer ring is removed you can remove the original 9007 halogen bulb from the headlight housing. Note its original orientation before removal.
4. Install the LED bulb base
Remove the bulb base from the F1 series LED bulb by spinning it counter clockwise until the notches are lined up with the holes in the base. Once you have the base removed from the LED bulb you can put the LED base into the headlight assembly with the single notch going upwards.
5. Install the Retainer Ring over the LED bulb Base
Once you have the LED bulb base in he headlight housings you can install the retainer ring over the LED base by spinning it clockwise onto the housing.
6. Connect the Factory Wiring
Connect the F1 Series LED wiring to the factory headlight connector. Confirm the electrical connection is fully seated and the locking mechanism is secure.
7. Secure the Connection with Ziptie
Loop a ziptie around the factory connector and LED bulb connector to ensure that they stay tightly connected while driving over rough terrain.
8. Install the LED bulb into Headlight housing
Now you can spin the LED bulb back into the LED base in the headlight housing to lock it in. Once it is locked in it should be seated with the wire on the fan going straight towards the ground. This will ensure that your low and high beam functions will be aligned properly.
9. Verify Headlight Aim and Beam Pattern
Park on level ground facing a wall and check that both low-beam patterns are properly aligned. Adjust the headlights if necessary, following the vehicle's recommended aiming procedure. Check high-beam operation as well.
If the pattern is uneven or produces excessive upward glare, recheck the bulb seating and alignment before driving at night.
